Hello world

I finally joined the masses and read The Girl on the Train! It was good and had a better ending than I was preparing myself for, but I still don’t like the way she left a lot of (aka all) of the characters. I suggest she does a sequel or something so they aren’t just hanging there frozen in limbo for the rest of all time

Anyway..besides reading that book I’ve been trying to get study some because my trip is just under two weeks away! Eeek. My work hours are now 7-4, which really doesn’t mean I have to get there that much earlier since I was normally there sometime between 7:15 and 7:30…but knowing I believe being 15 minutes early is on time, so I’ve been aiming to get to the hospital around 6:45. Good thing I had a few years of practice driving to Durham by 6:30! I was just getting used to going to bed at a semi-regular hour, but it looks like I’m once again gonna be a 9:30pm bedtime kind of gal! However since I’ll be getting out a little earlier I’m going to try and bring Rowena at least once a week to run around Lake Pine and work on my speed before I cut half-marathon training super close again.

One area of life that is not progressing very well is (shockingly) the romantic aspect. It makes me sad. I don’t really know what else I can do besides date someone I don’t like, though…so I’m stuck.

There are two things I’m excited about this weekend though: 1) I’m going to a new chiropractor on Monday morning and I’m putting all of my eggs in his basket because if he can’t fix me then I give up. No pressure! 2) I made an appointment at the Red Cross blood center Monday afternoon to donate blood for the first time in years. I sold blood when I was at Duke to a neighboring lab, but I haven’t donated since college (mostly because I went to the doctor so often and had blood drawn almost weekly just for lab tests so I didn’t have much to spare, but also because I don’t technically weigh enough. shh) Other than those things I plan on doing my normal weekend weed roundup in the yard, going to boxing class and trying to study some more!

ps Rowena did well in her class today, but after this package runs out I’m going to have to take a break or something because it’s freakin expensive to take classes with her every week…maybe I can go every other Saturday. hmmm

okay bye

About Erin Goes Blah- I rant forever

Ever heard of Erin Go Brah? The horse obviously, not the saying! I'm him, in human form but slightly less successful and well known. Perhaps you've also heard of a man named William Shakespeare? In "A mid-summer nights dream" he says, "though she be but little, she is fierce" in reference to Hermia...I have a little bit of that in my mix too. I'm a 26-year-old big kid with occasional adult tendencies just trying to figure out my place in life. Chronically single and exhausted I am the keeper of two jobs and three pets. With approximately 2 hours of free time per day, I tend to use it relaxing- leading to much musings and wonderment. I plan on using this blog to reach out to others, and to my inner conscience to better understand my odd habits and talk myself out of them. I hope to bring attention to those in eating disorder recovery, by being open about my hardships and hurdles. I'm weird, silly and looking for someone to share the love with :)
